Everything you can access without internet access, and how caching works.
Tap the ✈️ Trip icon in the bottom navigation bar. If you have no trips, you'll see an empty state with a "+ New Trip" button.
Enter a name like "Japan October 2026" or "Europe Summer". This is just for your reference.
Type a country name (e.g. "Japan") and tap the + button. Add as many countries as your trip covers. Use country names, not cities — this ensures entry requirements display correctly.
Choose your departure and return dates. These are used to scope Gmail import and the Schengen day counter.
Tap "+ Add Booking" to add flights, hotels, and activities manually — or use Gmail import (Pro) to pull them in automatically. Flights are validated against airline data.
Tip: Enter destination names as countries ("France"), not cities ("Paris"). The entry requirements engine matches against country names. City names will show a "no data" result.
On any trip, tap the ✉️ Gmail button. If you're not a Pro subscriber, you'll be shown the subscription page first.
A screen explains exactly what access Roam Wyld requests and what it does with your email data. Read it and tap "Continue to Google Sign-In" when ready.
Sign in to your Google account and grant Roam Wyld read-only Gmail access. We request the minimum permissions needed to find travel confirmations.
Roam Wyld scans your inbox for travel confirmation emails within your trip's date range and presents the results. All bookings are pre-selected — uncheck any you don't want to add.
Selected bookings are added to your trip instantly.
Not finding your confirmations? Make sure the confirmation emails are in your main inbox (not a subfolder or spam). Gmail import searches within your trip's start and return dates. If emails are outside that window, extend your trip dates temporarily.
Transit directions require at least one destination. Open a trip and scroll to the directions section.
Roam Wyld sends your trip itinerary to an AI and generates step-by-step transit instructions — trains, buses, metro lines, ferries — with duration estimates and local tips. This takes up to 30 seconds.
Directions are displayed as cards, one per transit segment. Each card shows the mode of transport, route, duration, and step-by-step instructions. Costs and local tips are included where available.
Once generated, directions are saved to your device. They're available in airplane mode. Tap "Regenerate" to refresh — note there's a 3-minute cooldown between regenerations.
Note: AI transit directions are a planning guide, not a real-time navigation tool. Always verify departure times and platforms with official sources (Google Maps, local transit apps) before traveling.
Go to Profile → Edit → tap your passport nationality (US, UK, AU, CA, or EU). This setting applies to all your trips.
Entry requirements are shown for trips with at least one destination. Make sure your destinations are entered as country names.
Scroll down on your trip and tap the Entry Requirements section header. This is free for all users.
Tap any of the passport pills (US, UK, AU, CA, EU) to see requirements from that passport's perspective. Useful if you're traveling with a partner on a different passport.
Important: Always verify visa requirements with the official government source for your destination country before travel. Entry rules can change without notice.
Roam Wyld is designed to work without internet. Here's what's available offline:
Tip: Generate your transit directions and load your trip data before you board your flight. Everything will be cached and ready when you land.
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, toggle airplane mode on and off on your iPhone. The offline banner should disappear within a few seconds of reconnecting.
Check that: (1) the confirmation emails are in your main inbox, not a label or folder; (2) your trip dates match the dates of the bookings; (3) you're connected to the same Gmail account that received the confirmations. Try forwarding a missed confirmation to your inbox and scanning again.
Destinations must be entered as country names, not city names. For example: "France" works, "Paris" does not. Edit your trip's destination tag to use the country name.
Some charter, regional, and codeshare flights may not appear in our validation database. You can save a booking without a flight number — it will save without validation. The booking is still fully functional in your trip.
AI directions can take up to 30 seconds on a first generation. If it times out, check your connection and try again. There's a 3-minute cooldown between regenerations to prevent excessive API usage.
Tap any Pro feature → on the paywall screen tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're using the same Apple ID used to subscribe. If that doesn't work, close the app completely, reopen, and try restoring again.
We respond to all support emails within 24 hours, usually sooner.
